We now have a roof!! The houses is coming along well. We actually hired out the roofing instead of doing it ourselves because we were given an amazing quote. Plus these guys can do the entire roof in 3 days as opposed to our 2 weeks! Praise God for providing. It become a little interesting here in a week. The guy we having working for us full time is leaving for quite a few months to Africa for missions work. CJ is also not full time on the project anymore as he has resumed his job with the church . That means it is only CJ's dad on the project full time! Things can really slow down. But....we are trusting God to take care of us and help us make deadlines.

House Progress
We are currently in the process of finishing our roof of the house. Soon it will be all closed in!! We have a lot of friends that have been helping here and there. We are so blessed by so many people pitching in to help. It is also so fun to see people enjoy being out there and learning new skills and finding out the hidden skills that some people did not even know they had! I can't believe how amny decisions that there are to make when building a house. Today's task is to pick out our front door. There are soooooooo many choices, but I am narrowing it down to the most inexpensive one that will hold. Well, as for me and the family we are doing well. I have 6 more weeks of maternity leave to go, I can't believe it have been 6 weeks since she was born. Though most of the days are taken up with caring for Lydia, I still find a little time here and there to do some of the home projects I have been wanting to do for months so that has been nice.

God has blessed us with the ability to be able to build a house this year. CJ along with his dad and our friend Chris are the main builders and have been working so hard this summer on the construction. Way to go guys!! We are hopefully going to move in Feb/Mar 2009. Our heart and vision for this home is to use it for God's glory. It is His house, not ours. We are excited to host people and make people feel a part of God's family. If people need a place to stay or just a refuge, our heart is to bless people through it. Thank you Jesus!! Here are some pics of the progress made so far. We are now putting on the roof and then comes the siding. It is coming right along!
Excting times!! We are now part of the computer world!! We have a blog finally so we can keep all you friends and family up to date on what is happenin in the Carrier household. We are so blessed to have just recently welcomed our first daughter into this world. Her name is Lydia Renae and she was born 8/8/08. She weighed 6 pounds 14 oz. She has rocked our world in so many ways. Despite the huge adjustment to life and major sleep deprivation, we could not be more blessed by God's gift to us!!
